Ardkeen Quality Food Store Hampers – a brand new look with a sustainable focus

In the past few months, the Ardkeen Quality Food Store hamper range has had a makeover, changes that they have implemented with you, the customer, in mind.

Ardkeen haven’t changed the handpicked quality packed on the inside, which is chosen with enormous care but they did want to ensure the same thought was applied to their packaging solutions.

The focus is on sustainable materials, the aim; to use only use wrapping which was 100% recyclable, biodegradable or re-usable, without compromising on the design needed to convey that these are carefully chosen gifts.

Depending on the number of contents, they use either classic plain or fluted kraft boxes, sturdy ply wood crates or natural wicker baskets made from steamed autumn willow, durable and versatile, options whose use will stretch beyond the consumption of the products contained inside.

Now using recyclable corrugated kraft sleeves to protect delicate product, sealed with recyclable kraft tape and doing away with all bubble wrap, instead using wood shred when required, each hamper is lined with undyed tissue paper and when closed, secured with elegant black and white twine. The name of each hamper is inspired by the beautiful coves and townlands of our native Co. Waterford, identified with its own old-fashioned name tag.
