#GoOrange for Solas

This year has been unprecedented for all businesses and with some teams working remotely has created a very new working environment.

In response to this changed landscape the Solas Cancer Support Centre’s Run & Walk for Life is a virtual event and this might be a great opportunity for your business and team to be involved.

The event takes place over the weekend of 9th to 11th October and participants can choose their own distance, route and day. This year there is an easy on-line registration system with the iconic orange t shirts are being posted directly to participants. 

Companies may like to plan a specific team building event over the weekend such as:

• Wear orange to work on Friday 9th October – a great chance to get behind the Solas Run and Walk for Life and promote the event within your company.
• What about arranging a relay with your team taking part in a designated location and allocating specific time slots to your team.
• Or how about aiming for a target distance to be covered by the whole team over the weekend – a companywide challenge for employees to participate remotely choosing their own distance, 5k, 10K, 21K and being added to a total target.

We hope that Waterford and beyond will #GoOrange for Solas on the weekend of October 9th and help to fund services in 2021.
