This particular LCE course provides all the required training for new employees, or acts as a refresher for existing employees within a company. For an investment of only €135 per person, this one-day course provides training in the following :
Manual Handling, the use of Fire Extinguishers, VDU Assessments, Safety Awareness and Safety Legislation.

The aim of this Health and Safety Basics for Employees training is to cover all the basic training requirements for employees in one cost effective course – Manual Handling, Fire Extinguisher Use, Computer Workstation set up, Safety Awareness and Safety Legislation for all employees as either an induction training course or a refresher.
Duration: 1 day
Course objective:
- Introduction to workplace health and safety legislation for employees
- Introduction to workplace safety
- Workplace hazard identification
- Preventing accidents at work
- Dynamic manual materials handling
- Working with computers – VDU workstation set up
- Fire safety and fire extinguisher use
On completion of the course delegates should:
- Have completed their mandatory Manual Handling training course
- Be aware of how they need to contribute to workplace safety
- Understand fire safety and the practical use of fire extinguishers
- Understand their legal obligations relating to safety at work
