Ballybeg Greens veg box scheme

The Waterford and South Kilkenny Branch of Down Syndrome Ireland and Ballybeg Greens have jointly launched a veg box scheme in Waterford. The box costs €20.00 and €4.00 goes directly to DSI Waterford and South Kilkenny to help the local Branch provide therapies, education and support to people with Down Syndrome and their families in the Waterford and South Kilkenny area.

All profits generated by the scheme are reinvested into the newly launched BRiLL Family Resource Centre of which Ballybeg Greens is the Social Enterprise to provide training and employment opportunities to unemployed adults in the area and beyond. The box contains 10 seasonally grown vegetables and fruits of which potatoes, onions and tomatoes will be staples.

All veg is grown by Ballybeg Greens or sourced from local growers.
