Offering an alternative to traditional lending, Convertibill’s southeast branch opened its doors this January and have been impressed with the diversity and ambition of Waterford’s business community. Waterford native Gillian Walsh and her partner, Kildare man, Rowland Smithers (pictured at this year’s Chamber Business Expo) are the owner managers of the branch and are determined to help businesses in the southeast grow at pace.
Convertibill have smart ways to smooth out cashflow, to finance orders and to fund bulk purchasing from suppliers. We can also finance leasing for both our clients and their customers and we can allow companies to raise funds based on future revenue.
‘In the past businesses looking for finance went to their local bank, spoke to someone that understood their business and borrowed what they needed. All of a sudden that disappeared. We are bringing that concept back. We want to know our customers. We want to understand their business and get them the funds they need quickly each time’ says Smithers.
Rowland has over 20 years’ experience in business, both at Company Director and business development levels. Gillian moves to the finance sector from a technical research and development background and takes an analytical approach to business.
