Waterford Music presents the Far Flung Trio

Starting 2019 with a bang, Waterford Music will present the Far Flung Trio at the Large Room, City Hall, Waterford on Thursday, 31st January with an irresistible musical programme that is virtuosic, eccentric and charming in their signature style.

A family concert at 2 pm showcasing Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf (approx 60 mins) will be followed by an evening concert at 7:30pm featuring the seductive melodies of Bizet’s Carmen and Rossini’s mischievous Barber of Seville overture, jazzy tunes by Gershwin, an original work by Irish jazz giant Ronan Guilfoyle, and lots more, all tailored by the Trio and delivered with panache and delight.

Family Concert: Adult tickets €5 / Under 18s Free of Charge (Must be accompanied by an adult) on the door.

Evening Concert: Tickets €18 (€15 concession / €5 students) on the door.

Leader of the Irish Chamber Orchestra violinist Katherine Hunka and the extraordinary accordion player Dermot Dunne have been playing together since 2007. They have toured Ireland and China playing everything from Baroque to Piazzolla. They are delighted to be joined by Ireland’s most sought after and versatile double bassist Malachy Robinson for performances packed with musical gems.
