A large gathering of the business community came together on Friday night last at Tramore Racecourse for the Waterford Chamber Annual Race Night corporate event.
With a drinks reception sponsored by C&C Gleeson, buffet meal and music by the Strobes, guests were treated to a wonderful evening. That coupled with tips from racing pundit Mark Phillips and leading jockey Davy Russell, added to an exuberant atmosphere.
Speaking after the event, Waterford Chamber President Kathryn Kiely said: “The Chamber Race night is becoming a favourite on our events schedule and we were delighted to sell out in record time this year. The coming together of the business community on a social occasion like this is very enjoyable and the tips and winners were also very welcome!
“On a personal note, we would like to thank Sue Phelan and all the team at Tramore Racecourse for their support. We have worked closely with Sue over the past number of years and while are saddened to hear she is moving on from the Racecourse, we wish her the very best in her new adventures. She has been a huge asset to not just racecourse, but Tramore and Waterford, over the past 19 years and we wish her every success in the future.”
